Canarian Wine was born out of an idea shared by a group of friends who met at the Canary Islands. Those friends were fascinated by those special autochthonous vineyards, showing surprising peculiarities and unparalleled uniqueness.
Considering they are passionate about high quality wine, as Italians and Piedmontese, they are accustomed to the best Italian and international wines. Those friends have found a world of aromas and flavours they couldn’t believe it could exist outside of the well known top wines locations.
The first step made to translate these findings into an established company, has been to study and find out as much as possible about those wines and their origins.
At the same time, a pool of local wine makers had plans to make Tenerife (and Canarian, in general) wines known to the other continents. The group of friends did not miss this unique opportunity and created a company dedicated to exporting the most renowned Canarian wines to Italy. Restaurants, wine bars, wine shops now get a chance to experience and benefit from the finest, centuries-old traditions Canarian wines.
Considering these wines are quite hard to find outside of Spain, Canarian Wine becomes the natural point of reference for operators in the bar and restaurants sector who want to stand out from the crowd and offer a different, high quality product which is highly valued by the public.
Another reason why Canarian Wine was born, is the fact Canarian wines are highly appreciated and sought after, in the locations where they are being exported since a while.
Export has been mostly focused on Germany, United Kingdom, U.S.A. and, to a lesser degree, on Hong Kong, China and Russia. Last but not least, Tenerife and Canarian wines estimators have been found in Australia and Japan.
Japanese have appreciated Canarian wines so much that they have produced periodic reportages on select wineries, featuring interviews to oenologists, winemakers and sommeliers, both in Spain and Canary Islands.
Canarian Wine was born to make those wonderful Canarian wineries known to the ever growing number of fine wines estimators.
Despite the production being limited, in all the above countries the consumption of “Made in Canary Islands” wine is steadily growing, also thanks to Iberian cuisine getting more and more appreciated and thanks to Spanish style bars and restaurants opening around the world.
Canarian Wine, in the wake of these international initiatives, wants to be the point of reference for all the wine enthusiasts and for the young Italians who are taking interest into Canarian lands wines. Because of this, Canarian Wine proposes Canarian wines to both Iberian and local cuisine Italian restaurant operators. Both cuisines have a lot of common traits: same or similar products, from the lands or the seas, wisely dedicated to succulent tasting.
