Transport and Storage
It’s well known how wine is really sensitive to heat and temperature shocks in general. Transporting wine from Tenerife to Italy takes up to a 4500 km (about 2800 miles) travel between sea and land. This exposes the products to very high hazards. If wine gets considerable temperature shocks during transport, it’ll get to destination with altered organoleptic characteristics and with a totally different taste than the original. The only way to preserve a fine wine quality and to keep intact its taste and flavour is to transport it under a constant and controlled temperature throughout the whole supply chain from the winemaker to you.
At Canarian Wine we take great care and pride about the quality of the wines we sell. Because of this we perform a 10-12°C constant and controlled temperature transport and storage. All the products moving is done on “reefer” means of transport, starting from the winemaker pick up location, continuing with containers transport up to including the storage warehouse in Italy and finally to the delivery destination at your Restaurant, Hotel or Wine Bar.
It’s an additional cost … we know, but by doing all of this we can guarantee that the products we deliver will retain the same flavor, the same aroma and the same quality of a bottle opened at the vinery location!
We are sure you will enjoy all the care and attention we devote to wine that will be served on your customers’ table …
